Where the Thiruppāvai is a communal dawn-vigil, the Nācciyār Tirumoḻi is intensely personal — a single voice burning with longing (viraha) for the divine beloved. Āṇṭāḷ speaks as a woman consumed by love for Tirumāl, observing vows, dreaming of union, sending messengers, interpreting omens, and finally surrendering in total devotion.

Across 143 pāsurams in 14 decads, the poem moves from the love-vow of the month of Thai through the great wedding dream (the thousand-elephant procession of Decad 3), the messengers sent to the Lord, the month of separation, and finally the surrender at his feet. It stands as one of the greatest devotional love poems in Tamil literature.

Each pāsuram is presented in five layers — original Tamil, transliteration, English translation, Tamil prose commentary (உரை), and an alternative rendering — with a devotional theme and literary note.
